Hi forum,

i am using Qimage for a few weeks now and it's already the center of my printing activities.

Two questions/requests popped out through my use:

- How else do i utilize metric sizes other than converting them to inches? This works of course but is a bit tedious to do - is there an option to switch Qimage to metric? Or would that be a feature request?

- The .tif raw files from my DCS620 can't be read. Of course i see that this is a very old format/Cam but it would be nice to have DCS620 and DCS760 support directly in Qimage too.

tia,

To switch Qimage to metric units, just click "Settings", "Units" and select "Metric". As to raw formats, we have no plans to support raw formats other than what Qimage already includes: D1, D1H, D1X, D100, E10, E20, and Fuji S2. There is no standard for raw formats and every new model does its own thing. If we tried to continue supporting all the new raw formats, we'd have not time to do work on what really counts in Qimage. Besides, today's (included) raw converters usually give you everything you need.

Thanks Mike,

i'm sorry for being too stupid to find the setting for metric ...

No problem with the raws, contact sheets do quite ok from PS, too, and for the important print jobs i'll have edited the photos anyway.

cheers and keep on the great work,
