Does anyone have details on the resolution (in PPI) of the printers used by some of the on-line photo printing vendors such as Snapfish and Shutterfly? All I have seen here is information for Costco. I am looking for the correct value to put into the parameter page for the Qimage print to file function.
After waitng for two weeks to get a response from Snapfish "Customer Service" it was obvious they did not understand the question. They just quoted their table of suggested minimum resolutions for certain print sizes:
4 x 6 640 x 426 pixels
5 x 7 1050 x 750 pixels
8 x 10 1280 x 1024 pixels
11 x 14 Posters 1600 x 1143 pixels
12 x 18 Posters 1600 x 1066 pixels
16 x 20 Posters 1920 x 1536 pixels
20 x 30 Posters 2272 x 1500 pixels

Which by my calculations ranges between 150 PPI and 75 PPI depending on print size, which does not make sense if you assume that the same printer is used for at least a couple of different sizes. I see that Shutterfly has a similar table on their site FAQ, but no PPI value.

Thanks, DAG
