Hi Mike:

I'm a refugee from Imageprint (don't ask) and I'm evaluating Qimage. When I point Qimage at a folder containing .jpg and .psd files, the thumbnails for the .jpgs display fine, but certain .psd thumbails have a large red "Image Read Error" in them.

The .psd files that do not display were created by PS CS 2, and contain multiple layers and adjustment layers with layer masks.

Is it the case that Qimage can only handle flattened .psd file, please?

Thanks
Andy

The latest spec for PSD files that Adobe has released to the public is based on PhotoShop 5.0. As a result, any third party software that reads PSD files will have trouble with the latest incarnation of the PSD format. Most of the time checking "maximize reverse compatibility" when you save the PSD will solve the problem, but not always.
