1. I can't find any definition of Black Point Compensation in the Help files. What does it mean, and when should it be used?

2. When printing a target for making a printer profile, the printer ICC profile should be turned off. Does doing this also de-select the black point compensation.

Thanks!

1. BPC is useful when using profiles for devices that render the color black very differently. My suggestion is to leave it checked. With BPC checked, your profile can compensate for the fact that your printer may not produce a very dark black compared to the black on your monitor, etc.

2. Yes. If you turn off the printer profile, BPC doesn't apply because it is an attribute of applying the profile.
