I use WinXP home, Photoshop Elelments3 to edit, and Qimage to print, I
have a custom profile for the printer (new profile)and the monitor is
calibrated with a PhotoCal spyder. Now some prints are being printed
much darker than others. This is random, no changes are made between
these prints. I use a Canon i950 printer with all entries in its driver
off and both printer and monitor profiles entered in Qimage color
management.
What could possibly change the quality of the prints like this? Canon
tech support went through some tests with me and says "he cant
understand it but it's not hardware related." Any help or ideas will be
greatly appreciated. Tom

You may want to check to make sure there isn't a physical problem with the printer like (intermittently) clogged nozzles, overheating print head, or poor inkflow possibly from using third party inks.
