I do event photography. I have been doing most of my work in CS. I crop to 8x10.do some quick fixes, then use an action to make an 8x11 and paste the 8x10 onto that. I then use a script to add my name, copyright symbol and image # onto the blank white space at the end. I then send the new picture to another program to print. What I want to end up with is an 8x11 photo with an 8x10 photo and 1 inch of info on the end. Can q-image do all of this or do I have to do most of the work in PS?

Yes, Qimage can do all that but whether or not it can do it exactly as you have been doing it, I wouldn't know unless I could see an example of what you are doing.

Mike,

Here is an example of what I want to end up with. I want the actual image size to be 8x10 with the written info to be additional size. ( I currantly use 8x11 to accomplish this.) I have been doing the crop, shadow/highlight, sharpen, rotate and add script in PS. Then send that to Q-image. (The prints from Q-image are beautiful:-)) This works, but it would speed things up if one program would do it all.

That looks like a pretty simple workflow for Qimage. You could set the size to 8x10 and then add a text "annotation" in the page editor. Qimage will keep the size 8x10 and add the text below the print. This can also be done with floating text in Qimage.

I've finally figured out how to add the annotation, but I can't seem to figure out how to have it add it to all prints without typing it to every one.

I can get file # automatically, how do I add the same text to every pic?

Take a look at example 9 in the help. It explains how to create your own templates and you can link the floating text to all the templates on the page and then use that layout:
