I have the canon rebel xti hooked up to my laptop and I want to be able to do some quick time lapsed photoshoot. Can any of you help me in this area?

You can use your EOS Utility Software with your laptop— read page 4-2 in the EOS Utility Instruction Manual on how to docomputer controlled photography.

Personally, I use Canon's Timer Remote with my 30D as it is more convenient for me. However, there are times that DSLR Remote Pro has proven useful: http://www.breezesys.com/DSLRRemoteP...1020/index.htm. Its supported cameras incllude the XTi and it is moreversatile than the EOS Utility Software IMHO.
