I thought I read online that the MC-EU1 would do intervals of30 seconds or greater, the instructions say 2:00 is the minimum.

Already owning a Digisnap 2000 I have no problems with short interval needs but the logic of Nikon in not supporting anything under 2 minutes escapes me.

My mistake, it's the 8700 itself that will do 30 second intervals of timelapse. Most of the things I'd like to shoot a timelapse of requirefast intervals, looks like the clear leader is still the Digisnap line.

The only reason I'll use the MC-EU1 from now on is for shutter release only. It will save wear and tear on the Digi-Snap.
