Default I wanna stick a camera on a blimp!

I can launch up to 2 pounds with less than $5 worth of helium, using really huge balloons from the party supply store. But, what camera can I get that I can trigger with a wireless at least 100 feet away? Does anybody make a camera that I can just program to shoot every 10 seconds or something?

Any of the Canon dSLR cameras can be remote actuated by RF for up to about 300 feet. Probably the 10D would be a good choice. With a small light lens like the 50mm F1.8 it would get under your 2 pound limit (I think).

It's a bit of an expensive camera to possibly loose, so the mount would need to be secure.

Check out this website: http://thehaefners.com/kap/.

This guy uses a radio-controlled coolpix on a kite. The website gives a description of radio control hardware and a cardanic camera mount.
