No sound playing video files on Vista - Codec required?

Hi all,

When I try and play movies from my ricoh r4 on my computer (vista)I can see the movie but can't hear the audio. It says it needs a codec. It goes to search the net when you click web help but it can't find one. I've googled for the codec but without any luck. :?

Has anyone else had this problem? And if so...a link to the download for the codec would be brilliantalthough after all the searching I've already done I fearI'll be out of luck on this one

This happened when my son tried to show me some video clips taken on his Caplio R4 last night.

I suggested he tried opening Quicktime Player, and then playing the file there.

Hey presto, video with sound!
