I have the above camera, and yesterday went to use it at a birthday party, I open the camera but there is no image displayed just a black screen, the camera opens the lens etc etc, any suggestions please, I have changed batteries and tried two different SD cards

Try pressing the Display (DISP) button and see if that toggles the LCD on.
