hello all

i have a ricoh rr30 that i use in a sea&sea underwater housing with some very nice results.

my problem is that the mode dial on the rr30 is quite stiff to operate(you need 2 fingers to change between modes) and when the camera is in the housing the corresponding mode dial controller on the housing slips on the mode dial.

what i want o do is free up the mode dial on the camera .

my question is ....

how do i take the camera apart and access the mode dial switch . a computer technition friend of mine has had all the screws removed and tried to seperate the camera body but the two halvs wont seperate , they stick at the join near the mode dial. how doi seperate the two halves from here??

the camera is out of warranty so im not to worried about voiding its warranty.

i would be most dissapointed if i had to leave the camera in one mode whilst scuba diving , id miss out in deleting photos and taking videos.

comments and advice apreciated .

one of my u water shots
