I like the second picture better because of the lighting. The first one lacks the DOF to show the wings.

thanks for your comment. didnt really care about getting wings in focus, I was trying to get eyes in focus, handheld very difficult that day.Need a lot more practise. The cool weather actually helped because the damsels were relucant to fly so approaching them was easier, but I didnt want to lug a tripod that day.
