Hello All,

I am looking for information regarding the best post production route with the HD1a.

I need to edit on AVID and eventualy output my finishedproject in PAL.

I understand the HD1a shoot 720p 30fps. I dont mind dropping down into SD at some point but is it possible to:

Import the footage into AVID, cut the project in NTSC, then export in a PAL format? If this is not possible in AVID could you use another non-mac product to import the AVID cut and export in a PAL format?

Or can you convert the footage before importing into AVID and then work PAL native.

(Just to complicate matters) If you have shot using external sound, recorded via minidisc for exmaple with the intention if syncing up later will the fame conversion make you sound out of sync?

Essentialy want to shoot using the HD1a, cut in AVID, sync enternal sound the the pictures and then make the whole thing PAL at some point.

Any help would be gretaly appreciated.

Many, many thanks.
