I have just purchased a CG 65.

I am very pleased with the video quality but

not with the audio. Everything is very quiet -my recordings,

playback audio, audio through ear phones, the user

messages-even with the volume at max.

I haave never had a cam before. Is this normal?

I know the cam is very small so maybe I am expecting

too much but it seems very strange it is so quiet.

I agree the built-in speaker is not loud enough, perhaps due to the speaker itself, perhaps due to lack of amplification. But playback on the PC, TV orusing earphonesshould befull volume. And if you look at the CG65's recorded audio tracks the volume levels are as high as they can be (without clipping); sothe recordings themselves havea highvolume level (this is loud music, but quiet environments with just talking will have peaks near max as well):

Agreed, about the only negative I could find on my CG6 was the speaker! Sound is non existant for me from it because I have a 40% hearing loss on both ears, even with my hearing aides the sound is verry low compared to say my MPVR. I actually have to turn the volume down on the SVP 8800! That sucker is loud!

But if I plug in earphones it is full volume, so its definitely the speaker.

Lanjaron,.....I had the same problem but, so far at least, that's the only real negative I can find to the CG65. I did try headphones and that worked fine. As Caelum said, on the TV or your computer you should hear everything fine. It's pretty good sound in my opinion, when you are able to hear it,.....
