I just bought this digital camera while i was in Japan and it does not have a menu in english, which is a problem for me since i do not understand japanese...:-)
I would like to know is there a way to install or upgrade the languge pack on the camera so that i can use it properly. I was unable to find english menu on the machine.
P.S.The camera states that it is DMX-CA6, which is, i believe, the same machine as VPC...or is it?:-)

Go to the options menu: scroll up to the top of the menus, then go right, the options menu is blue and has a wrench icon. In the options menu, if you scroll down to the second page, you should have a menu item with an icon that looks like the three lower case letters: "abc", that's the language menu, press set to select it. Normally all cameras are the same, but if you don't find that language menu or an English option within that menu, I'm going to guess Sanyo might have done that to discourage the grey market. Here is the CA6 english manual.
