Default Sanyo HD2000: Record with closed display would be useful

It would be usefull, Sanyo would implement recording with closed and deactivated display.

With a trick, this is possible on a Aiptek Z300.
Battery time will increase from 30m to 60m (Z300).
I have tried this.
Screen briefly open and close immediately.
The camera "does not realize" that it was closed again.
Unfortunately, that goes for the Sanyo not.

Sanyo will make it possible, or make a menu point to dissable the integrated Screen angle button.
Then you can use only the real button under the screen.
Open, activate, close...

You have not always see what you film.
E.g. on a tripod (Align, and then close to save battery power).
Or when the camera is hidden.
Or it should not be noticeable in the dark.
