I have a Sanyo Xacti digital camcorder. After connecting the camcorder to the computer in the correct manner I opened Vista's my Computer to look at the camera's contents. What appeared under DCIM was a single image (snapshot). The camera's memory card, however, contained forty or fifty video clips taken on a recent overseas trip. I tried inserting a different memory card but still found only that same image. I am guessing that what the computer is seeing is an image on the camera's internal memory. I also inserted both cards into the computer's card reader but neither was recognized. As a matter of interest, I can play back the video clips on the camera itself. Please help!

I wish I could be more helpful, but my only suggestion would be to try a different computer (maybe Mac OS or Android) or even a different Windows OS.
The other thing might be to try and copy all that data across, even as a single file, then see if there is software that can get into it. |
