Hi all, I posted on this problem which I had intermittently before but I can't find my original post and the problem has come back to stay.
My C6 is only recognized at a 'removable disk' by windows when I drop it in the pod. I get the woman saying 'PC connection mode' then after a few seconds I get the usb drive icon in the tray but I'm unable to see any files on the C6 in explorer at all and so I can't transfer my vids to the PC.

When I first got the camera this problem also appeared, but occasionally windows recognized it straight away and gave me the option box asking what I wanted to do with the files.
Strangely, the webcam function does seem to work and if I check the properties of the ‘removable disk', it does list the Sanyo C6 USB device.

I'm running WinXP with SP2 on a nforce2 motherboard for which I've installed the latest drivers. I've tried plugging the C6 into differnce USB ports, no change.
Could it be a problem with the camera or the SD card, I can't think of anything else, any ideas?

I can't offer any quick answer to your problem, but I think this is probably too minor to send the C6 back to the factory for repair. An alternative is to take the SD card out and use a USB card reader (cost less than ten bucks).

I never use the cradle to transfer pictures or videos and I find taking the card out to be quicker than booting up the camera on the cradle. The only difference is whether you believe this is more cumbersome, and whether you believe removing and inserting the memory card will damage the contacts in the long run.
