I'm looking for a way to edit the footage from my Sanyo C6 in a lossless form, using my pc.

I've got MP4Cam2AVI_v2.27 and have used that to convert the mp4 -> avi, which allows its use in most editors with the right software. In premiere though, I can't figure out how to define the new project correctly/produce the movie so that it keeps the same format.

When I've edited DV in the past, I've used the default Pal DV project template. There isn't one included for the C6 MP4. With DV providing I produced the movie to DV as well, the process was quick, only slowing in situations where I had added titles/transitions. I'm hoping to do the same with my c6 footage.

For now the final format is unimportant, so my main priority is being able to do simple cuts, trims etc with the raw footage in a lossless fashion.

Can someone please advise if this can be done?
