I've decided to bite the bullet and buy a Sanyo HD1 despite all the limitations I read about. I have the Sanyo C5 and recognize most of these problems as not significant to me. I use my camcorder strictly outdoors, filming my bird dogs working. I love the little C5 and just hope the HD1 is as good, andthat the 10x zoom is a good one and that the improved screen is as advertised.

I usually buyfrom Broadway Photo but have decidedthis is probably a grey market vendor. With thevarious bugs I've read about, I'm gunshy about buying from them. Their cost is $530 last time I checked.

Can anyone recommend a vendor for best price on the HD1 where I'd get USA warranty etc. I've even considered the refurbished models offered on eBayby B and H photo. Seems to me you might get a unitthat had theproblems already fixed.

I'd appreciate any input or advice, particularly from a service and warranty standpoint. My guessis thatsomeone on this great forum will have some good advice. Thanks folks,....Jack
