Default Sigma 28mm f/1.8 EX DG Aspherical Macro

Well I just bought this lens so figured I should let other people know how it performs. There is another thread for this lens but it's 3 years old and has only one post so I figured a new thread would be more beneficial to prospective users of the lens.

Pros - great build quality, excellent optical quality, hood and bag come with lens

Cons - slow and noisy AF, front focus is particularly bad, very heavy

The front focus was a cause for concern, but thankfully I was able to correct it with the AF microadjustment feature in my 50D (had to push the focus back 18 steps, nearly the maximum available).

After adjusting I did a focus test using the 20cm mark and think the focus is nearly perfect:

I will add more general images when I have them
