On the back of the manual for the Sigma camera has the contact for Sigma, "Carl-Zeiss-Str. 10/2, D-63322 Rodermark, F.R. Germany..."

What is the relationship?

Are any of the parts, Lenses? manufactured by Zeiss? And if so, then why is their name not on the lenses?

Sadly, the only relationship to be inferredĀ* is that Sigma in Germany areĀ* located at Office or Apartment 2, 10 Carl-Zeiss-Strasse (= Street)

I have two Contax Carl Ziess lenses which I use on my SD10, the 50mm f1.7 PlanarT* and the 28mm f2.8 Distagon T*.

I'm still not convinced about the 50mm Planar aseven though it scores an amazing 4.6 MTF on photodo I have never been able to get good results out of mine and I'm pretty sure Ihave probably had better results out someof my M42andNikon 50mm lenses.

The 28mm Distagon on the other hand is a very nice lens and I wont be getting rid of itanytime soon!
