One of the tricks to getting older software and hardware to work (on Vista) is to run
the install programs in XP Compatibility mode and Run as Administrator.
Once the programs are installed, set the properties for the executable to XP
Compatibility Mode and Run as Administrator (you do this by right-clicking
on the executable file and selecting the Compatibility Tab).

good luck...i'm sticking w/XP pro

I've tried that. The dimage transfer window opens, but it won't recognize the camera.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Windows Vista says an error occuredin the INF file.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"However, it does recognize the camera in data storage mode.

I bought a new laptop, and need to use remote shooting for on location portraits.

I'm not happy with Vista either. XP pro on my desktop is fine....

Anyone have dimage transfer working on Vista?

Thanks, Ed.
