Do you think that Sony will incorporate live view on the A700? I would like to upgrade to the 700 from my KM 5d.

i have heard rumors that there will be an A750 that is basically an A700 with live view. I cant confirm that but it isa rumor. I personally find the A350 kind of choppy (when you pan the camera)in live view mode so unless there is something specific you need live view for i would wait until it gets a little better. ecap

The A700 has a 3 inch LCD display with a resolution of 921K pixels, and can shoot up to 5 frames per second.

The A300/A350 have a 2.7 inch LCD display with a resolution of 230K pixels, and can only shoot 2.5 fps with the optical viewfinder and only 2 fps with 'Live View'.

A 'Live View' image sensor for an A700 would have to be a lot bigger to support the 921K pixel display, and would probably end up being slower too, or Sony would have to replace the display with a smaller one with lower resolution. And either way, the burst mode would undoubtedly suffer.

'Live View' on an A700 probably wouldn't be a step up.

Maybe on the new A500 that's supposed to be introduced at the next PMA ...

(Just kidding. [suB]:-)[/suB] )
