A couple of weeks ago I posted in the "Which Camera?" forum asking for a little guidance. Today I am the proud owner of a A300. I already bought the Tamron 28-105 for ~ $40, and I am about to buy the Tamron 70-300 Di LD to g along with it. Thanks for those who helped me with my decision, and I look forward to learning from everyone along the way.

congrats on your purchase. I had the A300 for a little bit, your going to love it! its an outstanding camera. I have the tamron 70-300 lens, its a great lens. Looks like you will have a pretty decent "starter" kit!

Enjoy it =)

Congrats! I remember you asking about the Tamron 28-105mm after Tulio started a thread about it. I thought you already had a Sony dSLR to mount it on.

Let us know how you like it. I still haven't taken the opportunity to see how I like this inexpensive zoom yet (I bought one of them, too). For a light weight walk around lens with that much focal range, if color and contrast are good with reasonable center sharpness, then $40 is a pretty good deal. lol I'll have to get out and take some photos with it soon so I can see how it works.
