Hey all,

I'm considering the Sony Alpha (300) cameras, but I wanted to know if anyone has an idea what PTP remote capture features it supports.

For example on my Canon a85 I can remotely control the shutter, focus, zoom etc. through the USB cable using the PTP protocol.

Does anyone know if the Alpha's support these features?

It seems the Nikon's are used in stop-motion animation often, and support these remote features very well. I can't find any information on the Alphas in this regard.

I've emailed Sony, but wanted to get some user opinions.

The A200/A300/A350 do not support remote control.

The A700 does.

I don't know about the A900.
