Okay Guys... I will look at purchasing the Sigma and then later on upgrading to a Sony A700.. I really appreciate all the feedback... Whew my son needs to get into another sport eheheh j/k... I love watching him play... Have a great day!!!!!

Congratulations on your new lens!!

Now the thing to do to get the best out of it is to frame tightly and don't try to shoot when subjects are too far away. If you are not filling 3/4 of the frame with your subject it is too far away, this will lead to soft/inaccurate focusing.
