Default Not Much Activity in this Folder-Here is a Bit!

This folder has been very quite for multiple days, so I thought that I would add a A500 photo sample taken with the 55-200mm lens.

Meet my pet seagull, Arnold. He arrives promptly at 7:30am daily for his fish breakfast. Then, he usually returns to the rail on the deck around 11:00am.

As long as he can see me in the Great Room, he is happy to lay down and provide a bit of company. This is the first time I have seen him make himself comfortable in the rain.

He also can be called as well. If I am out on the deck and call him by name as he is flying by, he will circle and land on the deck rail. Arnold is easy to identify, even in flight, as he has both an injured left foot and left wing and has a rather characteristic flight pattern.

Arnold looks like he enjoys your company. My Dad tried to feed one and then tried to grab him when he got close. I'm not sure what he was going to do with it once he "caught" the bird but it bit him and he let it go. We all had a good laugh - I think it was a laughing gull that bit him!!

How cool is that Sarah, I think it is sweet that you help this injured bird. It is strange how one makes new friends, and cool that it takes the time to visit. Nice photograph! Thanks for sharing your friend with me... Frank
