Default Video of Shuttle Atlantis Launch

This is an Adobe Flash video created from full resolution images (as opposed to just HD Video) captured by a Sony A55 at 10 fps.

Some people from the Sony Digital Imaging product team were given special access at the Kennedy Space Center - Launch Pad 39A, to help set up Sony equipment and take images and video including setting remote triggers (very cool). The "Last Shuttle Team" is documenting the last shuttle mission.
  • The lens is the thing.
  • 'Full Frame' is the new 'Medium Format'.
  • "One good test is worth a thousand expert opinions." - Tex Johnston, Boeing 707 test pilot.

Thanks for sharing! This is a magnificent launch and the last of space shuttle launching for NASA due to lack of funding. The next launch will be contracted to the Russian since all of our shuttles are retired.
