Default Testing a Teleconverter

I use a teleconverter mainly with my Maxxum 100-300mm APO zoom. I used the included images to test it for any C.A. it adds along with it's 1.4x magnification. It appears that has not added C.A.(nose gear landing lights) nor has it reduced the Q of the image. I would like to hear from any of you who use T.C.s how your images are affected by their use.

I would be more inclined to see CA around the windows than around the lights, and nearer the edges than nearer the center.

When I look at the windows and the vertical strokes of the lettering near the rear of the fuselage (the left side of the image), I see some yellow halos on the right sides, and magenta halos on the left.

These are not significant, btw, and I wouldn't hesitate to use that TC again in similar situations. The CA that is visible is much less than I've seen from unaided lenses.

In my experience, 1.4X and 1.5X TCs are very good. It's the 2.0X TCs that you need to watch.
