Default Sony A580 question

Even though I expected Sony to discontinue the 580, I upgraded anyway and love it so far. I'm curious how well the 580 will take HDR images as the bracketing only has .7 stops between photos. Anyone with experience?

One of the major and longstanding complaints about Sonly's line of Alpha cameras is the small exposure bracketing steps. 3 shots at .7 EV steps isn't really sufficient for HDR.

But Sony's AutoHDR is quite useful and very flexible, plus it's a lot easier because the camera does all the post-processing.

(It's important to remember that you can do your own exposure steps for HDR, using either manual exposure mode, or exposure compensation. You just don't have the convenience of a single press of the shutter button.)
