hi there, i know this question isnt about digital cameras but i thought this would be the best place to start.

i own a minolta 9000(old i know) and i was wondering about lens compatibility, with lenses made after the 9000 was released, in particular its the 24-85mm zoom lens that minolta make that i`m wondering about it details are as follows,

[align=left]AF 24-85mm/3.5-4.5 14/12 84°-29° 1.6feet f/22-27 62mm 2-5/16x

that link will take you to the page showing the lens, i want to about compatibility so i`m not wasting my time buying the lens.

many thanks in advance for your help.

Minolta only makes two lens lines - the old 'MD' rokkor which are manual focus, and the 'AF' series which are autofocus and your 9000 belongs to.

ie all lenses regardless of brand (ie Sigma/Tamron/Vivitar) with 'AF' for Minolta will work on your camera...
