Comparison done on the Sigma DG500 and the Minolta 5600HS.

It appears that the Minolta will take a better exposure most of the time.

The Minolta tends to under expose most of the time - which is better than overexposure anytime. Direct flash in FP mode give me perfect exposure whenI tested it against the Minolta. Bounce flash was horrible with the Sigma - sometimes more than two stops overexposedin my test cases. Wireless was good with either flash.

I'm amased just how different the Sigma and the Minolta flashes are. One can be under and the other over exposed in exactly the same situation.

BTW - I just took the Minolta 5600HS out on my first outing and it did wonderful in wireless mode.

If there is a choice - choose Minolta!
