Default Sony DSC-F505V LCD Screen battery icon

 When I turn on my camera I get a flashing battery icon with a slash thru it, in the center of my screen after the normal battery icon comes on in the upper left hand corner. There is no mention of this icon in the manual that comes with the camera. I e-mailed Sony, and they had no direct answer. Can someone clear up this problem and tell what this icon means and how to get rid of it.

It seems like a battery low/dead warning, did you fully charge the battery before turning it on?
