I have had a Sony DSCP-7 for almost 4 years.

It is no longer working.

I have been looking at Sony Digital cameras and have narrowed it down to:

DSCS600 or DSC-W50

I know the DSCS600 is discountinued however the reviews I read were very positive. A local store is offereing it for $120. The DSC-W50 cost is $230.
I have no idea what I should do. :?

I would really appreciate ANY input.

Thank you

The Sony S-600 at $120 is a good buy. It is a very good point and shoot kind of camera with 3X optical zoom. Another plus it the high ISO settings that are available to you. It is work serious consideration.

I bought one for my college age daughter and she loves it.

I honestly prefer the S600 because it has a much more powerful flash and uses AA batteries. My only complaint with the S600 is that it doesn't have any manual focus options, only auto. Stay far away from the S45 and S500, the picture quality is much worse and they aren't even made by Sony. They have Sony software, lensand Sony printed on the case, that's about it!
