Japanese electronics giant Sony has announced it is recalling some 350,000 units of its Cyber Shot DSC-T5 digital cameras around the globe as the bottom outer casing can warp and cause scratches to the user's hands.

The recall includes 284,000 unites across the United States and Europe, and 66,000 units in Japan. Sony said it knew of the problem shortly after the release of the camera two years ago, and are recalling because of the increased volume of complaints.
