I'm having severe problems with pictures taken by a W30, every other horizontal line is very bright, almost white.

You can see some samples, cropped at 100%, below:

Anyone had similar problem? How did you solve it?

It's likely a defective CCD (the camera's main sensor), or a failure of a supporting component.

Did you manage to solve it? I have the exact same problem. JimC, it doesn't seem to be a defective CCD, as when it's focusing and showing stuff on the monitor, the quality is perfect. However, after you take the shot, when you see the preview, it appears like that (of course, because it's the saved picture).
