Hi all! I have a DSC-H2 and really love it, but I am thinking about upgrading to the H50. Can anyone tell me if there really is an appreciable difference between the two warranting an upgrade from the H2 to the H50?

The H9 has longer zoom lens, larger screen, more pixels 9mp and better battery. Unless you are having battery problem like me; the rechargeable batteries do not last very long in the H2 especially you are shooting with the flash. I don't think it is a worthwhile upgrade. In many ways, a super zoom camera like the H2 and H50 is almost like a digital slr but not quite. If you really want to upgrade and is willing to spend a little more, you should be looking for a dslr which will give you better pictures and more flexibilities and control. Black Friday is coming, there should be lots of good deals out there.

if the OP does not want to go to a DSLR camera, the H-50 is a very logical upgrade in my opinion.
