Default F717 vs Olympus c-2100

I own an Olympus C-2100 and am very happy with it.

I noticed that the Sony F717 looks very much like my camera.

Are they similar?

They're quite different, from what I know about the 2100. They're superficially similar in that they have big lenses on the front and electronic viewfinders on the back, but the similarities pretty much stop there. The F717 has a unique swivelling design where the whole lens assembly can be titled up or down. The 2100 has a longer zoom. The F717 has 5x optical (it says 10x on the side of the lens, but that's with digital... it bothers me that on a high-grade prosumer camera they're still talking about the digital zoom). But, it has 5 megapixels compared to the 2100's 2 megapixel resolution.
