Default Flash Question

I am finally looking to step up from the on camera flash on the Sony a200, however price definitely is an issue. I found this Bower flash on Amazon, which I believe would be compatible and able to be used fully automatically(this would be called a ttl flash right?) But I just wanted to make sure before I ordered it and something that was completely manual showed up. Anyone able to verify this for me

Welcome to the Forum. We're delighted that you dropped by.

I realize that one of the reviews is from an A-200 owner who indicates that the flash worked well for him. However, my personal track record with Bower flash is not very good. My suggestion is that our resident External Flash Guru, JimC to move this post to the External Flash folder, and to give you his opinion.

Have a great day.
