Default TX-5 - A couple questions compared to HX5 technology

1) I know the sweep feature in the HX5 was upgraded and performs better than say the H55, but I am wondering where the TX5 fits in? That is does the TX5 have the upgraded sweep panorama software of the HX5?

2) I bought the HX5 and returned it because I wasn't 100% satisfied with picture sharpness. I am wondering if the TX5 would suffer from a similar lack of sharpness. (FYI, I am not someone who blows up pictures or pixel peeps.)

I am looking for a waterproof camera, and like the idea of the TX5 because I would get the sweep function. Any help in answering these questions would be appreciated as I need to buy one asap for my trip.

The HX5V's issues with sharpness are primarily towards the tele end. I am not sure if the much shorter zoom on the TX5 would be as affected for that reason. If you were displeased with the HX5V at the wide end also, then you're just as likely to be unhappy with the TX5/TX7. The NR exists across the range as well. The TX5 should have the same iSweep tech.
