Default DSC-P92 strange sounds

Strange sounds are coming from my camera: whenever it is on and i listen closely i hear it bleeping/clicking continuously. When the trigger is lightly pressed and the image is focused the sound stops.

I also hear (relatively) loud clicks when pointing the camera from a dark to a light direction and back. I figured this might be the diaphragm, trying to compensate for the changes in light. But do these digital camera's have a diaphragm? If not, what could it be?

Does anyone else on this forum own the DSC-P92 ?
Are these sounds normal or is there something wrong with my camera?
