Default HX5, Micro SD card OK ?

Hi all,
I'm looking at picking up a hx5 for an impending holiday (so I can keep my other camera as a dedicated underwater camera)i.

However, I'd love to be able to look at the pics taken on my HX5 on my Samsung Galaxy S's screen, but the phone only takes SD Micro.

Whilst I know that I can get an Micro SD card into a SD Card slot (by way of an adapter) I'm of the understanding that some cameras "won't function as well" with a Micro SD card as with a proper full sized SD card. Is there any validity to this ?

Video recording is a big point of getting the HX5, but not at 1080, only 720p. Could I get away with with a micro sd card in the HX5 ?

I've no HX5, but I use microSD cards with SD adapter in all cameras, even with additional CF adapter in DSLRs. No problems.

I've tried a microSD card in SD adapter with Canon SX1 movie 1920x1080 - fasted speed ... 43 Mbps! - and it works.
