Default T1 with bigger lens

If they can put a big LCD in the T1. How come they didn't
design it with a bigger aperture and faster lens. Is it because
small enclosure can't accomodate F2.8 lens that may be thick
such as those in the P10 and V1? It could have been perfect if
they use a fast lens with bigger aperture so faster shutter speed
can be used avoiding shake and dim pictures especially since
the flash of the T1 is tiny and can't reach far. But if the decision
to use tiny aperture in T1 is due to the fact that F2.8 lens can't
fit inside with all the internal zooming mechanisms without making
it much bigger. Then the T1 has a purpose which is somewhat like
spy camera or sorta and its design can be justified. What is the
case? If they use smaller lens because it's cheaper, then that's
when it defeats the purpose.
