I just received the 2GB Memory Stick Pro from http://www.compuplus.com. It ended up costing a total of $486.95 ($472 + $14.95 2nd Day UPS). Comp-U-Plus told me personally that it would work, but said I could return it if it didn't, so I went for it. Today, I put it in my DSC-W1 and, what do you know, it works!

It recognized it without any problems and even upped the capacity indicators appropriately. I took the time to write them down below with a comparison to what other sticks can do.

[align=left]Granted, I've only used it one day, but it's working. I don't see how there'd be any future problems, since it has recognized it and it's size correctly. Who know? If I have any problems, I'll post them here, but I don't anticipate any.

That's good to hear, I'm planning to get the W1 soon, and maybe now a very large card in a year or so!

Seagate is planning to sell its 5GB CF card for under $200 by Christmas...hopefully this puts pressure on Sony stick prices soon.
