Default P5 vs P7 vs P9

hey guys, im currently looking at purchasing my first dig cam, and i was looking at the following sony models:

1. DSC-5
2. DSC-7
3. DSC-9

the dsc-5 and the dsc-7 are the same price, so im wondering which one is the better of the two? also is it worth saving a bit more and getting the dsc-9?

as this is my first dig cam, i want to buy a good one which will last a while.

i will be taking pics of ppl, places, cars...etc typical guy stuff :P

any help would be appreciated. thanks

DONT GET A SONY. I have a DSC-P7 and the high res pics turn out garbage. Only the 640 are decent. Look for an olympus 700 or 3000 series.
