I have a Sony DSC P71 purchased about 2 years ago. It's been lightly used yielding great, detailed pictures.

I have recently noticed the picture detail/clarity is declining. A large percentage of pictures appear slightly out of focus, with or without flash.

To my knowledge, the camera has never been dropped or 'abused'.

I am using aftermarket AA rechargeables (2300mA) so I believe I have enough power.

Is this a known problem with this model?

Is the camera worth repairing? How much $$ should it cost?
