OK. It's time to upgrade my old digital camera.

I purchased a Sony DSC-50 a long time ago. It has certainly served me well and now it's time to upgrade it. I have loved the DSC-50 and had many compliments from great pictures I had taken. But, I think it's time to step it up a notch!

So, if poised with a choice, which one would you pick? W5 or V3? Both are about the same price now-a-days, so what do you prefer?

Info about me: I like still shots, close up shots and the typical point and shoot on the fly as well as everyday vacation use. Weight and feel for me aren't as important as image quality, but they can be a tie-breaker.

Thanks for your input!

V3 for me hands down unless you want a little smaller size!

The V3 is a much more advanced camera with a better lens. Features of note that set it above the W7are the Hologram AF autofocus, Night-Framing, the ability to use compact flash, higher quality movies, higher power zoom, much finer manual focus, TIFF and RAW file support, and a higher resolution LCD. If size was a big issue, I'd go with the W7, but if it doesn't matter, definately get the V3.
