Big difference in the resolution charts between the 7mp P200 and 5mp P100.

When the P200 is shot at a moderate aperature, it's probably at its sharpest. At very large and/or small aperatures, the small lens might be the limiting factor, not the 7MP (versus 5MP) CCD. A camera is not a computer - you can't just assume a 7MP camera captures 7MP of data regardless of the lens, settings, use or non-use of a tripod; etc. The shots that show the 7MP as being superior are simply the only ones where the phographer took a high enoughquality shot.

The P200 is sirprising how good it is, even though it is so small. My old Olympus 3000 is 3MP, but has the same physical size CCD (1/1.8"). amazing that rthey fit so many pixelson the same sized CCD w/o horrid noise issues, and the lens being good enough is amazing. Then there's the price. I paid $620 for my Olympus 3000 6 years ago ($800 MSRP).

If Sony only included a panoramic mode though. Wish they'd also have an interval mode - take one shot per xx seconds (useful for taking shots of the bird feeder remotely).
